Skat Consulting Annual Report 2022 is out now

Throughout 2022, Skat Consulting faced numerous global challenges while striving to establish lasting solutions in water, construction, energy, and governance sectors. Today, we are thrilled to share our Annual Report with you, offering a comprehensive overview of how we supported our clients and project partners during these demanding times. Our report sheds light on our efforts to combine immediate humanitarian aid with more sustainable development cooperation and crises prevention.

One of our significant endeavours in the humanitarian context focused on assisting war-affected populations in Ukraine and Moldova. For two decades, we have been actively engaged in long-term water and governance development projects in Moldova. Our extensive experience, coupled with our expertise in technologies and diverse approaches, particularly in the water, construction, and energy sectors, enabled us to develop responsive solutions that addressed immediate needs while fostering sustainable improvements in these countries.

This endeavour was undoubtedly challenging, but the unwavering spirit of our team transformed it into some of our most significant achievements of the year. These experiences have shaped our new mandates, fuelling our motivation and pushing us to continue our efforts. We have come to realize that our mission goes beyond providing services; it’s about creating impactful change, one project at a time. We sincerely hope you find our Annual Report insightful and inspiring.

Addressing priorities and identifying gaps: a planning session for community facilitators

On May 25, 2023, the MĂ IMPLIC project team organized a planning session to evaluate the progress of the Community Service Improvement Plans and the Grant Agreement in the partner communities. The session brought together all eight community facilitators, who play a vital role in supporting the implementation of the project at the local level.

The meeting aimed to identify key gaps and priorities concerning the monitoring process, citizens’ perception of communal services, and citizen involvement in their maintenance and development of the service.

Tudor Golub, the project consultant specializing in the operation and maintenance of communal services, emphasized the importance of empowering communal service operators through their active participation in training sessions organized by the MĂ IMPLIC project. The meeting also covered technical and logistical aspects related to launching communal services and explored opportunities for additional funding to ensure their effective operation.

The meeting fostered an environment of active participation and dialogue, providing an excellent platform for community facilitators to share their experiences at the local level. Each partner locality in the MĂ IMPLIC project receives assistance from community facilitators throughout the intervention stages. Currently, all 30 partner localities are actively implementing the Communal Services Improvement Plans, which are crucial documents in the organization and strategic planning activities in the field of communal services.

In the period 2021-2023, a total of thirty localities/groups of localities are implementing projects aimed at improving the delivery of communal household services. These initiatives receive support from the “MĂ IMPLIC” project, which is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by SKAT Consulting.
