We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Phase 2 of the MĂ IMPLIC Project is officially underway! After months of careful planning and reflection on the successes and lessons of Phase 1, we are embarking on a new chapter dedicated to enhancing local governance and public service delivery in Moldova.
Reflecting on Phase 1: The journey from Phase 1 has been invaluable. The lessons learned and achievements unlocked have paved the way for a more robust and targeted approach in Phase 2. Our commitment to continuous improvement is evident in every aspect of our project design.
A Participatory Approach: During the development of Phase 2, the MĂ IMPLIC staff actively engaged in the process, attending multiple workshops and meetings with key stakeholders, including mayors at the local level and the State Chancellery at the national level. The endorsement from the Secretary General of the Government of Republic of Moldova, further solidifies our commitment to inclusive and effective interventions.
A Systemic Approach for Better Service Delivery: Recognizing the need for a more systemic approach, Phase 2 aims to improve three fundamental dimensions of a well-functioning local government unit. Our focus areas include sustainable and accountable resource management, efficient coordination of local government reform, and meaningful community engagement in local governance processes.
What to Expect: In the upcoming weeks, we will unveil more details about our activities and announce the selection of partner Local Public Authorities (LPAs). The journey ahead involves building capacities, fostering collaboration, and empowering communities to actively participate in decision-making processes.
Join Us on This Journey: We invite you to stay tuned for updates on our website and our Facebook page. Your support and engagement are crucial as we work towards a Moldova where every citizen benefits from improved local governance and equitable access to quality public services.
Phase 2 of the project “MĂ IMPLIC” is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by Skat Consulting (Switzerland). The project second phase is planned for 2023-2027 with the total project budget of 6’960’144 CHF.
