In the period 2021-2023, thirty municipalities / groups of municipalities from the North, Center, South and ATU Gagauzia are implementing projects intended to improve communal services, with the support of the “MĂ IMPLIC” project from the funds of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
Following the signed agreement, the municipality will benefit from funding (maximum 65,000 CHF), consulting, and capacity building services. The Project “MĂ IMPLIC” will help the municipality and the service provider not only to improve the infrastructure, but also to develop long-term approaches to keep this infrastructure in good shape and to have sustainable models for financing the provision of services. In our work, we will ensure that local citizens, employees of LPAs, NGOs, economic agents are actively involved in modernizing public services in the community and especially that the less advantaged have equal access to these services.
Majority of the projects are implemented in the field of the solid waste management service, being followed by those focusing on water supply and sanitation (wastewater transport and treatment). Street lighting services will be improved in three other localities.
Most projects will be aimed at a single community. However, 10 projects will bring together a total of 28 communes, which will jointly improve the provision of services. In the partner communes, municipality representatives, service providers and citizens will work together to organize the provision of communal services in a participatory, efficient, inclusive and sustainable way.
