Funding mechanisms (fundraising) and application of monitoring tools by partner communities

The MĂ IMPLIC project organized on July 21 (in Cimișlia), July 26 (in Orhei) and July 27 (in Bălți) a series of trainings for partner LPAs, regarding funding mechanisms (fund collection) and the application of monitoring tools of the implementation progress of the Communal Services Improvement Plans.

Mayors, Administrators of Municipal Enterprises and Leaders of Community Initiative Teams learned during the event how to effectively organize fundraising campaigns, how to develop the Fundraising Plan. Victoria Matveev, community facilitator within the MĂ IMPLIC project, presented a series of good practices in collecting funds at the local level.

Victoria Popa, the monitoring & evaluation consultant of the MĂ IMPLIC project, presented about the mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of Service Improvement Plans. And the participants shared their own experience of this process at the local level.

The event had two objectives:

  • Strengthening the capacities of the partners (City Halls) of the MĂ IMPLIC Project in drawing up financing plans and collecting funds;
  • Guiding partners in the process of monitoring the implementation of Service Improvement Plans.

The participants of the event appreciated the practicality of the training sessions and consider that such events are a suitable platform for the exchange of mutual experience of LPAs in the implementation of activities within the cooperation with the MĂ IMPLIC project. At the end of the event, the participants concluded that the most important success factors in the processes of participatory development of services are: efficient and systematic communication, integrated approach to processes, trust building, clear and feasible solutions, community dialogue development.

We remind you that in the period 2021-2023, thirty localities/groups of localities are implementing projects aimed at improving the delivery of communal services, with the support of the “MĂ IMPLIC” project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by SKAT Consulting.
