The mayors of Chircăieștii Noi, Copăceni, Căplani, Fundurii Vechi, Cremenciug and Mihăileni localities signed the grant agreement within the partnership with the MĂ IMPLIC Project.

The 7 local public authorities, together with the citizens, make joint efforts to improve communal service (solid waste management, street lighting, or water supply), with the support of Mă Implic – Project of civic involvement in local government.

Under the agreement, the municipalities receive a grant of up to 65 000 Swiss francs to carry out the work and/or procure the necessary equipment for the project.

In addition to financial support, beneficiaries receive consultancy and capacity-building services. The “MĂ IMPLIC” project helps the municipality and the service provider not only to improve the infrastructure but also to develop long-term approaches to keep this infrastructure in good shape and to have sustainable models for financing the provision of services. In our work, we ensure that local citizens, LPA employees, NGOs, and businesses are actively involved in modernizing community services in the community and especially that the less advantaged have equal access to these services.

The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by SKAT Consulting.

Desiring a clean village: a path towards a tidier community

Take the example of Chircăieștii Noi – a partner of the MĂ IMPLIC project. A community initiative team consisting of municipality workers and local citizens is actively working to improve the municipal solid waste collection service in the village. The action plan also envisages solving the problem of unauthorized landfills, as well as organizing a comprehensive improvement system for the entire territory.

During this week’s meeting, the members of the community initiative team and the experts of the MĂ IMPLIC project discussed all the details of the organization of the further activities of the municipal enterprise, which provides service on solid waste collection, water supply, and in the future, sewerage.

The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC and implemented by SKAT Consulting. According to the signed agreement, the municipality benefits from funding (maximum 65,000 CHF), consulting, and capacity building services. The Project MĂ IMPLIC helps the municipality and the service provider not only to improve the infrastructure but also to develop long-term approaches to keep this infrastructure in good shape and to have sustainable models for financing the provision of services. In our work, we ensure that local citizens, employees of LPAs, NGOs, economic agents are actively involved in modernizing public services in the community and especially that the less advantaged have equal access to these services.
